Local Government Association Youth Summit

Aged 16 to 24? Live in England or Wales? Care about youth unemployment? Think young people in your area need more education and training opportunities? We want to hear from you!

Come along to the Local Government Association's Youth Summit in London on Tuesday 14 February (half term).

The Local Government Association (LGA) is the voice of local government in England and Wales. Through this interactive and fun afternoon event, they want to hear your ideas about how local councillors can ensure they make the most of young people's talents and support them to get into education, employment and training. Work with other youth representatives to come up with innovative solutions and test the ideas of high profile Councillors through a Dragon's Den.  Ideas created on the day will be featured in a LGA report.

Travel costs will be covered for the day and the British Youth Council will book your train tickets. Please feel free to bring a parent / guardian / worker with you on the day if you need support (we will cover their travel too but you will need to let us know). Lunch will be provided as part of the afternoon.

If you have any questions please call 020 7250 8377 or email us.

British Youth Council

The British Youth Council, as the national youth council of the UK, aims to connect with our member organisations and networks of local youth councils, to empower young people aged 25 and under, wherever they are from, to have a say and be heard. We aim to help them to participate in decisions that affect them; have a voice and campaign on issues they believe in, inspire them to have a positive impact, and gain recognition for their positive contribution to communities, society and the world.
